Run Steam → Library → Duskvein → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. This catches the majority of launch issues caused by interrupted updates or anti-virus quarantine.
If verification passes but the game still won’t launch, please send us the contents of %LOCALAPPDATA%\Duskvein\Logs\ (Windows) or ~/.local/share/Duskvein/Logs/ (Linux) — see the bug report section below.
All purchases run through Steam, and Steam’s standard refund policy applies: refund requests are typically eligible within 14 days of purchase if you have played the game for less than 2 hours. Start the request at help.steampowered.com.

Saves live in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Duskvein\Saves\ on Windows and ~/.local/share/Duskvein/Saves/ on Linux. Steam Cloud sync is enabled by default, so progress follows your account across machines.
If a save appears corrupted, the game keeps the last 3 rolling backups in the same folder under /backups/.
Yes — Steam Deck support is a first-class target. The build runs on the native Linux executable. We aim for Steam Deck Verified status at launch.
At this stage Duskvein is sold exclusively through Steam. We may add additional storefronts after launch; updates will go out via the newsletter.
